Flower Swap........

Hi girls!

Miss me??;)

So things are finally starting to calm down a smidge with Frank home. It took him about 3 days to get adjusted to the time zone, about 4 days to start humming along with the radio, about a week getting used to driving my car and he still wants to hold hands all the time:) We went to Cayucos, we went to Vegas and now we are home til tomorrow. Then we head off to Pelican Hill in Newport Beach where the guys will play golf and I will once again be by the pool in my Trina Turk bikini;) Boy do I have some nice color!!

Yesterday was just a normal day.........

He was entertained with my iPad and watching the Angels game.........

And I had an idea!!

Didn't think I'd get much creating done this month but once I got started I couldn't stop:)

These are for a Flower Swap I am doing with 6  lovely ladies in August..........

 

So cute I almost don't want to give them away!!:)

 

I had bought the shell flowers at The Shell Shop in Morro Bay when I was there last week. I just knew I'd be able to do something with them and for $2.95 a piece I couldn't resist:)

The rest was all stuff I had. Doilies, some burlap, twine from Michael's, velvet leaves and lots of seam binding..........

I filled up my little crystal vase with tiny shells and stuck them all in. Seriously I may not be able to give them away;)

But I will!! At least I get enjoy them for a few weeks:)

Well my boys are off hitting golf balls and I have an idea for the supply swap I am in. Back to the scrap room I go!!
 

 

 

Bask in the Sun..........

Hello there..........

I know I was not supposed to be back in July........

But here I am:)

Still waiting on Frank........

And while I wait, patiently I might add, I took yet another class.........

So I figured while I wait, patiently, I might as well do a blog post..........

Better than watching the minutes on the clock pass by and True Blood doesn't start for another hour and I can only watch The Proposal so many times:)

Today my friend Annette and I took a class at Collective Journey called "Bask in the Sun"..........

It was taught by the VERY talented Jennifer Priest..........

This is the second class I have taken of hers and I didn't think it could get any cuter than "Among the Butterflies" but it did:)

Here's a few pictures. But before I post them just know I broke my camera lens on my Canon and apparently I broke it pretty good because it's going to cost $285 to fix:( It's not like I dropped it on the floor I just set it down a little too hard I guess and BAM it sounds like a baby rattle when you pick it up!! So these are taken with the macro lens and keep in mind I am standing in the other room taking these lol:) This lens is pretty intense!! Can't imagine what it would cost to fix!!

Anyway..........

I wanted those wire baskets even though they were full of bird poop and spider webs but at $55 a piece I could hear Pottery Barn calling my name..........

Then I saw this which was just INCREDIBLE...........

 

For what was inside it..........

Every single drawer had seashell specimens in it...........

 

It was amazing, all that attention to detail and the tiniest neatest penmanship you'll ever see. It was worth it for me just to see that. Makes you wonder who it belonged to and how on earth it got here. I have no idea how much it was because it was already sold:(

Well that's it for me! I most likely will not have a moment to myself the whole month of July so I will be taking a little blogging break:) I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July and fantastic month of Summer!!
