When I was writing my last post I was sooo excited.
I was just waiting for my mom-in-law and I was out of here.
I had a list of things to do. Car wash, stop by the Brea mall and pick up some cute sandals for my super cute tea dress for Saturday, have my Angel Hair with Basil Pesto at Nordstrom cafe and eat out on the patio.
All of which I did:)
I got to the hotel and didn't even have to wait for my room.
All unpacked and ready to start my adventure......
I headed down to the Sorrel Room and was absolutely positively blown away by the decor. It was awesome!!
All the little shopping tables were set up and I perused:) What talent!! What cute stuff!!
There was 2 long dining tables each sat roughly 22 and we all sat at our appointed seat and The Mad Hatter Tea began:)
The table settings were just incredible. Imagine stacks of teapots glued together just so. Mossy chairs filled with flowers. Our seats were custom slip covered. Funny mine was the same black and white diamond I used on my tags for Karla. Our itineraries were made of large playing cards. It was just incredible. And you'll just have to use your imagination because......
I have no pictures:(
Our tea started with a first course of Corn Chowder elegantly displayed. Followed by 4 different types of finger sandwiches. Scones with Devonshire Cream or Lemon Curd........
And this is where I get a little fuzzy......
I remember looking up from my plate and feeling like the room was spinning. How's that for feeling Alice for you:)
I went to the washroom and splashed water on my face. That didn't work so I went into a stall and put my head between my knees. I have been to this rodeo before:) I have been anemic since I was little and have fainted a number of times. I used to like to do it in church when I was little. My mom blamed it on the incense:) As I've gotten older I will usually feel this way if I forget to eat or take my vitamins. But I did both that day!!
So that was not working. I went back to the room and told Kim I was not feeling well and headed for my room. Let's just say I BARELY made it!!
I continued to throw up from 4:04 until 10:40 that night. Every 20 to 25 minutes. Passed out once.
Poor Frank had to come from drill and bring me water and Pepto. He worked in the room though and ordered room service. Which was the least he could do considering he gave it to me!!!!
Oh yes he did......
All week when I had a head cold he kept saying you better not get me sick when I get home. I can't be sick for Camp Roberts. BLAH BLAH BLAH!
See when he came home late Wednesday night he wasn't feeling well. And then at around 2 a.m. all the commotion started. Let's just say he is not a very good vomiter!
We both seriously thought it was food poisoning. Being that Alabama is not exactly known for it's fine cuisine and he had eaten oysters there the night before......
And it came on so suddenly and then was gone I thought for sure it could have been those chicken strips he ate at the Atlanta airport or any of the other numerous crappy things he had been eating for the last ten days!!
But it wasn't. It was super human mutant bug and it got me good. Down for the count. It sucked!
The next morning I woke up with sore ribs, aching back and a headache to beat the band and I had to be out of there by noon. I kept saying to myself "Let's just see how I feel in an hour maybe I can make one class" or "Okay maybe I can just run in and get my kits". And then it was "Yes I can get myself home, yes I can. 40 more miles 20 and 10....."
I made it home and went straight to bed. And there I stayed til 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Yep it certainly does suck when you truly have no control over anything.
You know what also sucks....
For almost 4 weeks now I have been without soda, candy and fast food and have not lost one pound. And yes I have been exercising at least 3 days a week.
And guess what I pulled on my jeans this morning after a shower (which made me light headed again!) and I thought why are these this loose?? Hopped on the scale......
I lost 6 pounds in less than 72 hours!!!
What the heck????
Next year I think I may have to give up the bread and the butter or maybe stop washing my hands so I get the flu?? I think the bread and butter thing may be the better choice:)
And while I am on a roll.....
You know what else even with a diet with virtually no sugar I still got sick. I have been drinking so much water I am turning into a camel and my face still looks slightly slack. I am taking my vitamins everyday and I feel like I have no energy. I am sick of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch and I am beyond sick of Crystal light!!
Okay so I am still a little cranky about this bummer weekend:)
I'm off to get over it;) It's supposed to be 80 degrees all week and I am going to get some sun!!
Oh and a P.S. I will have pictures there was a lady's husband (can't remember either of their names!) there taking them and we are all supposed to get a CD so you'll get to see some of it. I just won't be in them HA! They'll be new to me too:)
