Pretty much how I have felt since the beginning of the year.
I am a work in progress and unfortunately this work needs more than 24 hours to a day:)
So suffice to say is the reason for me being MIA on this old blog!!
And by old I mean OLD!! I need a blog facelift desperately but that will have to wait for another day and another dollar........
Anyhow I just thought I'd show what has been taking up my time.......
Besides the man, the girl, the littlest and work!
This my creative time. Which I do carve out time for because it's important to me. I love creating something from virtually nothing. I love the process. I love that it has nothing to do with numbers really. Sometimes I dream of numbers and stupid excel templates! This is just about what I think is pretty and I can handle 3 beads on this side and 3 beads on that side type of numbers:)
Let's get started with my projects from "Enchanted" back in April (yes April!!) The teacher of each project is above the picture. I loved how each turned out in my own way. Which is the point:) They have all found their special places in my home.......
And this is the Blue Bird box I received in the swap I hosted from Lori Dams. It is amazing!!
I just can't get enough soldering apparently:)
Then this past weekend I was able to go with my friend Cheryl to a Diana Frey class up in San Luis Obispo! It was called a Petite Retreat and it was held in Diana's home which was inspiration galore!! The technique was using bronze clay. I had never had to put anything in a kiln before in my life and watching the transformation was pretty cool. And the process was kinda long and not the easiest on earth. You know me I am an instant gratification girl and this was just way too much for me so I don't think I'll be buying a kiln anytime soon:) But Diana was great and man did she have to work all weekend! Instructing, questions, kiln runs every 3 hours, tumblers every 30, looking for this and that for us to finish something just right, instructing some more. Non stop! I was on the floor and I was only a student!
Here are my pieces.........
The picture on the left is my maternal grandmother Patricia and to the right is my maternal grandfather's sister, Vera. I've been loving using the old pictures of family members. Makes it even more special:)
And a little wrap bracelet with bronze crowns
I bought this British Messenger bag from the Irvine Flea and spruced it up a bit:)
Not a stitch on it;) Thank you Fabrictac and Sealah tape!!
I've also been scrapbooking a bit and did this little mini book for my son's girlfriend, Maegan......
That was a fun little project!
That's it for now. Now you can see why I haven't really been on my typepad lately lol!!
And now I am getting ready to get messy! Working on a Sally Jean "Princess" collage over the weekend. If you want to follow my progress you can always find me on Instagram. I am just freckledstar:)
Have a great weekend!!
