Pretty much what I felt like the minute I stepped off the plane in Alaska:)
But it was great!!
Zachary is doing well, his friends were fun, dinner turned out great even though I think a steak knife was used to carve the turkey it may have been a leatherman tool I turned away and let Frank do his thing. Needless to say the kitchen was a little lacking and thank goodness for those aluminum things you can get at the grocery store or cooking that turkey would have been very interesting! Also I have never appreciated my double oven more! When I came home I kissed it;)
Alaska was gorgeous. Truly a sight to be seen!
This was the view from our living room window. We were in Girdwood at the Alyeska Lodge and Ski Resort and it was beyond beautiful. No snow while we there except a quick flurry but this area gets over 500 inches a season!!
We of course being Californian's and rarely seeing snow or ice had to stop several times to take pictures:)
Also being Californian's we had to go to the wildlife park. Don't ask me why:)
It was so beautiful and clear. The snow sparkles like diamonds. Even if the cold takes your breath away lol!!
Here's our cozy cabin.......
The kids had a blast on the frozen pond behind the cabin. Slipping and sliding around like a bunch of 5 year olds:) And that's where we went to take our Christmas card picture...........
Perfect but this is how they usually are........
And I think at one point Lindsay may have punched Zachary while we were on that frozen pond trying to take that picture:)
Kids I swear lol!!!
It was a fun trip but man was I happy to get off that plane and back in 80 degree weather!!
Although Christmas decorating isn't as festive when the sun is blaring in but I did get my house done....
And the studio.....
Pink this year.....
Mine was published!!!!
Cloth Paper Scissors Studios Winter 2012 is out!!!
So here I am on the eve of Winter Wonderland where we will pretend it's a white Christmas:)
