That's one word that describes my current state perfectly right now.........
With driving a kid 4 hours to camp then back home 2 days later one kid less, arranging and rearranging kid pick up schedules with all grandparents, working on my final project for NADA feverishly since I will be taking about 2 weeks off, not knowing whether I should get ready to fly to Corpus Christi to see Frank for 4 days tomorrow or not (they are having a hurricane roll thru in case you haven't heard!) and lastly getting my final swap project put together (which came together perfectly in my head last night while I was trying to sleep:).
But after we dropped off Tyler at Camp San Luis Obispo Lindsay and I had a chance to get into Morro Bay. To one of my favorite stores of all time.......
So while I ate my peanut butter taffy (if you love taffy you will love the "Candy Shoppe" in Morro Bay!) we perused.........
Can you say succulents??!!
Be still my beating heart!
Love these glass open air gardens..........
All the fountains sound tranquil:)
I need this guy just because he makes me smile........
Love this little guy too.........
Well I better go pack a few things in case I do get to take off tomorrow. But the odds aren't in Frank and I's favor. They issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Corpus Christi last night so it looks like once again we will just have to wait a few more days. Maybe this is God's way of preparing us for the long road ahead. Maybe?
I've also have a box to paint. I will feel so much better when that swap is DONE!! Then I will pack my creative suitcase and be good to go. When we get home from Cayucos on the 10th Les Sirenes will be only be 4 days away so I have to get it done NOW! Unless of course I am stuck here for 4 days by myself (already planned all the kids time, Ty will be in camp and Lindsay is going to Cayucos with my dad til we get there for the 4th) then I will have all the time in the world:( Damn I hope that stupid storm dissipates miraculously!!
So I may be back sometime this week wallowing:( Or I may not be back til after the 10th. We don't have internet in the condo so I couldn't post even if I wanted to and my in-laws have dial up and we all know how long that takes. I know the stone ages right!
Have a wonderful 4th of July!!
I picked up a little antique postcard the government put out back in the time of World War II for the 4th of July and it reads:
Wishing you the
Compliments of the season
and asking you to join us
in prayers for the success
of those on the battle front
fighting for the restoration
of peace on Earth, Good
Will Toward Men.
